Actors: Do You Have the Skills to be a Dialect Expert?
Increase your range and marketability as an actor by mastering different dialects and accents from around the world! The Accent Exchange is an amazing opportunity to work with and learn from people who have authentic accents and dialects. Taught by Master Teacher and Dialect Expert of South Park fame, Eliza Jane Schneider, this eight-week course will give you the skills and techniques to perfect ANY accent or dialect.

How does The Accent Exchange work?
The Lab is held in Brentwood every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the weekly lecture is on Monday evenings at various locations throughout the city. In addition to the class and lab, participants will be paired up with students to work on specific accents with native speakers several times during the week either in person, on the phone or via Skype.

When is the course?
July 10, 2010 - August 28, 2010

How many people are in the course?
Eliza will take no more than 30 people in the Lab to make sure everyone gets enough time and attention to master the accents.

How many accents will I learn?
The sky is the limit! After acquiring the basic skills and techniques to master an accent, if you can use the skills you learn in class to pick up an accent or two and pass as a native in one week, you can move on to learn another accent. The number and type of accents you learn in the eight-week course depends on you!

Where is the course?
The Saturday class will be held in Brentwood, and the lab will be held at various locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area, in order to take advantage of LAĠs wide array of cultural variation & native speakers of various dialects around the city.

How much is the course?
Regular Price - $795
Early Bird Special - $595 if paid in full by June 30, 2010 ($300 deposit and then remaining $295 1st day of class)
Late Registration - $995 after July 4th

Who is Eliza Jane Schneider?
Eliza Jane Schneider has taught and recorded dialects all over England, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, both Islands of New Zealand, all 50 United States, South Africa, the West Indies, Russia, Israel, and France, to name a few. A top voice actress, she has played hundreds of dialect characters for PIXAR, Disney, FOX, MTV, Comedy Central, the Cartoon Network, NBC, CBS, Paramount, and others for nearly twenty years. For five years, she voiced 8 Series Regular characters (Wendy, Shelly, Principal Victoria, Mrs. Marsh, Mrs. Cartman, Mrs. McCormick, Ms. Crabtree, The Mayor) and hundreds of additional voices for Comedy Central's hit animated series "South Park." Founder of the Eliza Doolittle Dialects school, Eliza Jane has been coaching actors for dialect roles in film and television in Hollywood since 1992. She published her Distinctions in American Southern dialect collection in 1999 and has a database of over 3000 hours of dialects recorded from around the world. Touted as one of Hollywood's top five professional dialect experts in both voice acting and coaching, Eliza Jane has taught Dialects and Accent Reduction at Brown University, Trinity Rep, The OĠNeill Theater Center, Word Bridge Playwright's Workshop, The Famous Radio Ranch, The Learning Tree University and Dolores Diehls Voice-Over Academy. She was the Master Dialects teacher at the American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (AFTRA) in 2008 and the Screen Actors Guild Conservatory at the American Film Institute in Hollywood in 2009.
